21 November
Because I was lucky enough to be one of the winners of the moodboardchallenge of september I got the chance to show you my work as a guestdesigner for Art and Soul Studio.
Thank you so much for that. I had a bit of a struggle with it, because the moodboard said use red and that is a colour I would n't pick myself. But it is a challenge and I have completed it.
I made a mixed media altered canvas in my favourite style, steampunk and used differend paints and waxes and my favourite embellishments from Mitform Castings.
I did take a few step by step pictures for you but you can also watch te video.

Step one I gave my canvas a coat of black gesso with some sand in it for extra texture.

Step two: Modeling paste through a stencil, I choose an old wall design.

Step 3: Adhered a piece of corrugated cardboard in the middle and some cardstock cogs and gears. After drying I gave it a coat of black gesso.
Step 4 A Piece of thick chipboard, and again a coat of black gesso

Step 5 Add some color to the background with decoart media acrylics
Step 6 added a few extra gears and painted them with decoart dazzling metallics ground espresso and copper.

Step 7 My favourite part adding the embellishments from Mitform castings, the heart is out of a stamperia mould.

The heart I painted with art alchemy acrylic paint rusty red, and to higlight some areas I used several colours of finnabair wax.
You can see al these steps in the video

Well that was it for me, hope you like my work as a guestdesigner, I enjoyed making it for you.
