Adventure Awaits-A mixed media journal spread

Hi everyone,
Sharing with you a mixed media journal spread that I made for Art and Soul studio's blog.

Let's start our journal spread.
This is my small Dylusions journal. I primed the pages with white gesso. Glued few pieces of washi tape and book paper.
Next I applied white modeling paste through a stencil. I wanted texture in the middle part of my journal. I also applied White crackle paste with palette knife in some areas.

When the modeling paste was dry, I colored the pages with acrylic paints. I used little bit of water to help the paint drip and move.
After that, I did background stamping with Archival inks.
Glued my embellishments, focal image and chipboard quote with gel medium. Added few paint splatters and mega art stones.

I hope you liked it
Thank you for visiting
Take care and keep crafting.

Saadia Nawaz.

Products used:

Artist Trading Coins by Dutt Preety

Hi friends :)
Good Morning !

I'd like to share a Set of 12 Artist Trading Coins today.
I've prepared a lil' pictorial for these.
Artist Trading Coins are very popular nowadays, these are 2.5 inches in diameter and serve as a variant for ATCs or Artist Trading Cards. These little pieces of art are usually exchanged between artists and crafters from all over the world. It is a lot of fun to make these & once you get started, they can be quite addictive :)

Set of Artist Trading Coins

1. Artist Trading Coin- Real

2. Artist Trading Coin- Happy

3. Artist Trading Coin- Trust

4. Artist Trading Coin- Joy

5. Artist Trading Coin- Kind

6. Artist Trading Coin- Love

7. Artist Trading Coin- Little

8. Artist Trading Coin- Say

9. Artist Trading Coin- Positive

 10. Artist Trading Coin- Calm

11. Artist Trading Coin- Friends

12. Artist Trading Coin- Remember

Pictorial:

Step 1: Randomly Applied Dylusions Paints to Strathmore Watercolor paper
(the messier, the better)

Step 2: Created ink splatters and a few pops of color using Dylusion Sprays, Lindys Gang Sprays and Distress Paints (again, done very randomly)

Step 3: Sponged on white gesso through Tim Holtz Mini Stencils to create texture & interest in the background (modelling paste or crackle paste could also be used for a more textured look)

Step 4: Punched out twelve 2.5 inch circles & outlined the stenciled patterns with a fine tip black pen

Step 5: Darkened the edges of the circles with distress ink and drew on double stitched borders around the circles using a white gel pen (you can even add real stitching to the coins for a more textured look)

Step 6: Used Tim Holtz paper dolls as the focal images. Created the composition on each coin & layered on washi tape, thread, Tim Holtz stickers & die cuts.

Vintage tag with Aga

Hi all mixmedia fans!
Today I would like to present my first post as a new Art and Soul Studio DT member. To start with, I just want to tell you how happy I am to be here and to be able to inspire you.

What I made is a vintage style tag. I love all what is vintage! I used acrylic paints by Dylusions to make background. The paints are fantastic. I used a sponge roller to make smudges. I like this way since it is fast and gives nice effects. I couldn't resist Ranger stamps designed by Dina Wakley. I have been in love with for ages.
I hope you will like my inspiration. Have a nice day!

Have a nice day :)

Art journal page with acrylic paints and Gelatos crayons

Tim Holtz stamps and stencils have always been my inspiration. One  page in my notebook is dedicated to vintage style. I used papers designed by me and I wonderful stencils Crafter's Workshop.

I also used Ranger stamps. The mix media I used is really explosive 😉 since I used Dylusions paints and Gelatos crayons. I mixed the paint with water and I dripped it all over the paper. Gelatos was spread all over the surface by tiny soft make up brush since it's perfect for it.

I used clear gesso.

I used Gelatos and stencil to mae a background.

I glue all elements.

I spash the paper. I used acrylic paints and water.

I put the stencil heavy body gel and i Used gold foil.

I used stamp for make background :)
