Challenge mood board Post. (use flowers)

This is my August mood board challenge (use flowers).

The following is my mixed media journal page inspired by the August mood board 

challenge (use flowers). I really have enjoyed this months mood board and hope you enjoy it.

These are the fantastic products i used to create my page. Most of the products seen here are available from the art and soul studio.

First thing i did was use the Deco Art Crackle paint on an A4 art journal page. Once dry i ripped the page up into different sized pieces and set aside.

I also ripped up two scrapbook pages from the Kaiserkraft pen and ink range. A calligraphy page and a music sheet page. 

I then arranged the papers with the calligraphy page on the left side of the page, the music sheet page in the centre and the egg shell papers around them. 

I then used Tim Holtz Distress Paint in tattered rose and Broken China. I used the rose all over the page and the china around the gaps and edges of the ripped up papers.

Then i used Alcohol Ink in the colour 'denim' and dropped it randomly onto the page. I didn't want to over do it too much so a small cluster of tiny spots and two larger spots together worked well. 

I then used Tim Holtz Distress Paint in the colours (mermaid lagoon and seedless grape) over the petals of the flowers i chose and loosely glued white woolen threads over the music sheet page. While the threads were still tacky i positioned the flowers gluing them down to the page. 

I then added a little bling. Honestly i could have gone a little crazy with the bling but i held back and am glad i did. The subtle bling just adds a little more depth to the page, (i think).

I then cut out Butterfly images from the Kaiserkraft pen and ink collection and used Jacquard Lumiere Metallic paint (HALO VIOLET GOLD) and metallic water colour (Azurite) to colour the butterflies. 

Then i arranged the butterflies around the flowers, added a few white dots around the bling and cris crossed the middle left section of the page to place two words from the Kaiserkraft Gypsy Rose Sticker sheet. Everything i make lately i'v added a quote or word to.
