It's time to reveal the new design team and our amazing new look blog and graphics !
Our team has expanded to 8 members, we have added some very talented creative ladies with differing styles to inspire you all with their projects. Stay tuned for their first blog posts coming up in October!
You may have noticed our very cute and bright blog changes and logos, designed by the talented Tanya Froud. With the changing design team, we thought a fresh new look was in order 😀

Art and Soul's new Design Team and Social Media Coordinator
Hi, I’m Elisa and I live near Coffs Harbour in NSW on the coast with my Hubby and two boys and i have been art and crafting for many years. I majored in Art in college and I have a great range in my style from Mixed Media Art to Scrapbooking to Watercolour painting, Home decor items, Canvases, Natural Wall Hangings, out of the box items, mixed media pieces to Art Journalling and a combination of the lot at times. If i had to describe my style i would say eclectic, different and colourful. I love to use loads of different mediums on my projects but as my hubby would say I have a unhealthy addiction to paper, stamps, stencils and paint. I also have a penchant for using upcycled or repurposing items for my projects, from natural items to hand dying fabric, wire, feathers, toilet paper and other unusual items. I look forward to creating for Art and Soul Studio showcasing the amazing array of art and craft products available. Stay tuned for our coming blog posts and don’t forget to subscribe to the newsletter and blog to stay up to date !

DEENA OTWAY
Hello, I’m Deena and I live on the South-West Coast of Victoria in a town called Geelong. I am a mother of two, a boy and a girl. I have been creating since I was little, paints, pencils, paper, drawing and cross stitch, although I would love to learn how to crochet. When I moved out of home a long time ago I started making cards and still love making them. I stopped creating for a while when I met and married by husband. But when my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (auto immune disease) I needed an outlet a time to switch off so I began creating again, that was nearly seven years ago. I started off making clean and simple cards but then I discovered mixed media. Oh, my gosh a whole new world opened up now I create cards, art journal pages, canvases and sometimes scrapbook layouts. I love getting messy and letting my creativity run free, sometimes it gets out of hand but I do rein it back in on occasion. I don’t think I have a particular style but as long as it has lots of texture and colour I am a happy creator. I am really looking forward to creating for Art and Soul Studio and providing you with inspiration whether it be to start off your mixed media journey or the continuation of it.

LYNN GOOD
I am originally from NZ and moved to Australia in 1989. I live just outside Burnie, Tasmania with my fantastic husband on small acreage. I work full time as a Office Manager and have two teenage/adult boys who have recently left home on their own ventures.
I have been scrapping for about 14 years and although my focus is mainly on layouts, I enjoy doing canvases, off the page projects, albums and the occasional card.
My style does change depending on the photo that I am scrapping but I do love to use paint, gesso, stencils, chipboard, bling and flowers – (thank goodness for girlfriends as this is a little hard when I have boys and nephews sometimes!!) .
I am excited to be designing for Art and Soul Designs and sharing projects with you.
My other hobbies include colouring in, tapestry, my animals and gardening although I have to be honest and say that they don’t get allocated much time after working and scrapbooking!

KAREN ARRIBAS
I am originally from the UK and moved to Australia about 10 years ago. I love it here and decided to make it my home. I met my husband and had a little girl. I have drawn and painted all my life. My degree is in printed textiles and I worked as 3D Games designer for 5 years.
However I moved away from being creative since I came to OZ and worked in recruitment and number of other office roles……..but you cant keep an artist down and recently I’ve come back to my artist roots and raring to go. I realise I love love to create and its what I need to do and all I want to do.
My niche is mixed media whimsical, mystical characters. I mainly like to draw ladies and sometimes animals. I like to show the feminine strength in the form of fairies, mermaids or other fantastical creatures in colourful ways.
I’m addicted to beautiful paper, watercolour and various other art materials as I discover more and more incredible art techniques. I like to try different techniques and you may find my style changes slightly which each new discovery. I use anything I find interesting and I usually find most of my most interesting paper in the Op shops.

Starting with the gorgeous and talented - Tanya Froud
Hi my name is Tanya, I live in the country music capital with my husband and 3 kids aged 23, 15 and 13. I grew up in the country and have never moved to far,
My go to scrap style is mixed media and lots of white space the messier the better! I love the challenge of getting a new product and thinking what the hell do i do with this, then the playing and brainstorming that follows.
I started scrapping when my son James was born nearly 15 years ago, I was given a gift of a beautiful handmade album from my incredibly talented and arty Aunt, with a folk art teddies featuring on the MDF cover and then paged full of bits of paper.
To be honest i had no idea what to do (and no google to help me)!!! Where i lived had n scrapbook shops or classes so i just bumbled through, but i was hooked but 100% self taught.
I am on a couple of other design teams, Shop and Crop and Off the Rails, i have also designed for a few years for Funky Flair Studio.

NEXT WE HAVE - HETTY HALL
Hi, I am Hetty, born and bred in The Netherlands I came to Australia late 1989 to marry my then boyfriend Aaron and we lived on the Gold Coast for 15 years before moving to Hervey Bay, a beautiful seaside town in Queensland with our three gorgeous girls, Taylor and twins Alicia and Paris.
Years ago when the twins turned one and life started getting back to normal, I began looking for a diversion to relax in the evenings after the children had gone to bed. One day while in a news agency I picked up a scrapbooking magazine and having always been a creative person knew instantly I had to try this amazing craft. Thirteen years later I am still a scrapbooking addict and loving it!
In the past I have enjoyed designing for KaiserCraft, Addicted to Craft, Scrapware and several online stores as well as working in a few local brick and mortar stores. In 2009 I was extremely fortunate to have been chosen as one of Scrapbooking Memories Magazine ‘Masters’, which was a fantastic ride.
I would describe my style as clean, not always simple as I love my fussy cutting but I mainly use patterned paper and use the images on the paper for my embellishments. Most manufacturers bring out the most gorgeous papers and some of my favourites are Graphic 45, Kaisercraft, Echo Park, Simple Stories and lately I have discovered PhotoPlay.
For the past few years I have taken a step back from all the Design Teams and concentrated more on myself and my family but still doing some leisurely scrapping in my spare time, creating and selling layouts for other people on eBay.
Today however I am very honoured and excited to have been invited by Annette to join the very talented ladies at Art and Soul Studio and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone and hopefully inspire you along the way.

Ngaire is going to be our inhouse card and kit specialist and our expert on the ground at Art and Soul Headquarters.
Hello I'm Ngaire I am originally from Dunedin New Zealand I moved to Australia in 1986 with my Husband & two school aged sons. We retired to Hervey Bay where we have been for the last 2 1/2 years & where we have met some really nice people it is a lovely place to live.
I have been a Scrapbooking Addict for the last 13 years spending many hours engrossed in many different pages Recently I have been specialising in making Cards & doing the odd abstract painting which I find very rewarding
I have many different styles it depends on the photo I have to use but as we have mainly boys in the family I love Texture, Inking, Distressing, Grunge & Chipboard for my Male Pages or Cards
But I also love to use lots of Flowers, Ribbon & Chipboard on the Feminine Cards
I am very excited to have been asked to join all the other very talented ladies on the Art and Soul Design Team. I hope to be able to give you some inspiration for your Cards
My other Hobbies include Reading, Cooking & especially Baking I love trying out new Recipes
